The ski resorts in Colorado have all closed and mountain towns are starting to slow down for the month of May. Although each town, Breckenridge, Keystone, Frisco, Copper, Silverthorne and Dillon, seems fairly quiet during this time of the year, the real estate marketing is booming across the Rockies! There were a total of 135 residential sales and 7 homesite sales in Summit County during the month of April. These numbers have increased steadily in comparison to the month of April in previous years!
Average residential sale prices boast an overall increase in value in comparison to the years prior. Sale price averaged at $576,526, lying about $25,000 under the average list price for the month of April. The cost per square foot settled in at approximately $335 per square foot.
The success of the real estate market during the month of April was extremely prevalent in Keystone, Colorado. The first home in Keystone’s Dercum’s Dash subdivision sold for over $3 million, breaking the areas highest sale recorded since 2007. The lavishly planned 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom home rests on .63 acres of land. April has set the tone for the upcoming summer season as the market shows no signs of slowing down.
