Dercum’s Dash Home Sells in Keystone

The first Dercum’s Dash home in Keystone sold for over $3 million last week, breaking the areas highest sale recorded since 2007.  Being Keystone’s newest neighborhood, Dercum’s Dash came about after a land exchange was finalized with the U.S. Forest Service which traded 1,000 acres of private land located near Montezuma for the 25 acre plot near the base of Keystone Ski Resort.  After 15 years of negotiating, the area is now referred to as Dercum’s Dash.  The exclusive development is located at the foothills of Keystone Ski Resort and is home to 24 homesites. Crestwood Homes, a development company out of Keystone expects to build four to five homes are each year for the next five years before the housing project is completed. Two other homes are currently in the construction phase along with the private owners clubhouse.

The Dercum’s Dash home was originally listed at $3,525,250, yet took a $500,000 price cut after settling on a final sales price of $3,050,000.  The lavishly planned 4 bedroom, 4.25 bathroom home rests on .63 acres of land.  Built just last year in 2014, the beautiful European-inspired home was the first completed development in the subdivision. Vaulted ceilings, French bleed hickory wood flooring and detailed chandeliers set interior design expectations for future homes in the area. Now that the first home has sold, there are high hopes for future sales in this prime, real estate location.

The neighborhood boasts beautiful wetland and mountain views.  The heavily wooded area is close to great hiking trails and lies adjacent to White River National Forest.  The private clubhouse, still undergoing will be available to a limited number of owners residing at Dercum’s Dash, and provides private hot tubs, swimming pool, lounge areas and peaceful patios.  Follow the lighted boardwalk trail past beaver ponds and spring meadows to River Run, the premier location for shopping and restaurants located at the heart of Keystone Resort. Ski-on access provides ease in returning from a long day on the mountain and the gondola is conveniently located in walking distance from the neighborhood.
