Fourth of July in Summit

Happy Fourth of July weekend!  Celebrations take place all over Summit County and begin in the early morning hours!  Town will be extremely busy, so it is wise to plan your day of activities early in order to make the most of the weekend!  Regardless of which mountain town you may be residing in, there is great entertainment for each member of the family!  Follow the guide below to learn about the events occurring in each Summit County mountain town! Breckenridge

  • The Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race kicks off the Main Street Parade after a 50 mile ride through mountain trails and the Breckenridge area.  The race begins at 9:30 AM and is followed by the Red, White, Blue Color Guard to lead the official Fourth of July Parade!  The annual patriotic concert will be performed at the Riverwalk Center by the National Repertory Orchestra at 8:00 PM.  Tickets are going fast. Purchase your tickets online now at https://tickets.breckcreate.org/Online/mapSelect.asp.  The fireworks will begin after the show at 9:45 PM and are visible from locations all over town!

Frisco

  • Line up on Main Street to watch the town parade beginning at 12:30 PM.  This small parade awards prizes and trophies to float contestants based on an assortment of categories!  Music and live concerts will continue throughout the afternoon and into the evening.  The Long Run, an Eagles Tribute band will perform at the Marina at 7:15 PM.  After a couple hours of exciting live music, the annual fireworks show will begin at 9:30 PM over the Marina!

Keystone

  • Activities for the entire family begin as early as 8:00 AM on the Fourth of July in Keystone!  Take the children down to the Fishing Derby for a morning on the lake and visit the Super Slimy Science Program at the Kidtopia Headquarters just shortly after!  This demonstration involves hands on activities while searching for water bugs and water filtration tests!  The Bike Decoration Party is followed by the Children’s Bike Parade at 11:00 AM. Bring your own decorations for the kids and receive free bags of decorations as well!  Trout Steak Revival performs at Lakeside Village at 12:00 PM after the parade.  The well known local bluegrass is unmistakable and a great listen for all ages.  The Burroughs perform at the village later that night at 7:30 PM. Find a good seat and stay for great firework views after the show!

Copper

  • Fireworks take place each Saturday night at West Lake in Center Village after sunset.  Roast s’mores at the Copper Campfire before viewing the special Fourth of July firework show!
