Fourth of July Celebrations Across Summit County

While Breck 4th Fest serves as an exciting home base on Peak 9, visitors can easily explore celebrations throughout Summit County. From patriotic parades and concerts to drone shows and mountain bike races, every community offers its own unique way to celebrate Independence Day.

Breckenridge: A Full Day of Patriotic Fun

Breckenridge’s Independence Day celebration begins early and continues well into the evening. The annual Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race draws competitors from across the country, while Main Street transforms into a festive gathering place filled with music, arts, activities, and community spirit.

July 4 Schedule

  • 9:00 PM – Stories in the Sky Drone Show celebrating America’s 250th anniversary and Colorado’s 150th anniversary

Visitors should note that Main Street closes to vehicles beginning at 6:00 AM, creating a pedestrian-friendly atmosphere throughout downtown.

Celebrate Independence Day week in the Rockies at Beaver Run’s 4th Fest – a five-day summer festival packed with live music, family-friendly entertainment, patriotic celebrations, brunch, storytelling, and unforgettable mountain experiences. Thursday, July 2ndKick off the celebration with live music on the lawn at BBQ at the Base featuring:

Enjoy another evening of live music at BBQ at the Base with:

Saturday, July 4th

Spend the day enjoying Breckenridge’s Independence Day traditions, including the Main Street Parade and National Repertory Orchestra concert at Riverwalk Center. Then head to Beaver Run for the Colorado 250/150 Anniversary Drone Show lighting up Peak 9. BBQ at the Base offers some of the best drone show views in town.

Sunday, July 5th

Join us for brunch at BBQ at the Base featuring live music by Matt Scheer along with a variety of classic brunch favorites and new seasonal offerings.

Monday, July 6th

Close out the holiday weekend at BBQ at the Base with live music and storytelling from Summit County favorite Leon Joseph Littlebird, followed by an interactive chamber concert performance featuring members of the National Repertory Orchestra as part of the Symphony in the Streets Series.

Members of the National Repertory Orchestra Chamber Group will bring an interactive musical experience to Beaver Run as part of Breckenridge’s Symphony in the Streets series. Featuring some of the nation’s most talented young musicians, this special performance combines classical music with fun, engaging audience interaction in an unforgettable outdoor setting. 

Keystone: Stars & Guitars Celebration

On July 3rd, Keystone’s River Run Village hosts the annual Stars & Guitars celebration. This free event combines family activities, live entertainment, and one of Summit County’s most anticipated drone shows.

Food vendors, family activities, and mountain village shopping create an ideal holiday atmosphere for visitors of all ages.

Silverthorne: Community Celebration

Silverthorne joins the festivities with community gatherings and live entertainment.

July 3rd

  • 10:00 am – 12:00 pm National Repertory Orchestra Concert at Rainbow Park

Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy parks, trails, restaurants, and family-friendly activities in Silverthorne’s growing downtown district.

Frisco: Classic Small-Town Independence Day

Frisco delivers one of Summit County’s most beloved hometown celebrations. The town combines traditional holiday events with live entertainment and family activities.

July 4TH Schedule

  • 8:00 am – 9:00 am Kids’ Fishing Derby
  • 8:00 am – 11:00 am Pancake Breakfast
  • 1:00 pm – Independence Day Parade
  • 4:00 pm – Frisco Funk Collective Concert
  • 5:45 pm – The Motet Concert

Additional attractions include Ninja Nation obstacle experiences, Elevate Circus performances, games, and activities throughout Main Street.

Copper Mountain: Slopeside Summer Celebration

Copper Mountain offers a relaxed mountain atmosphere paired with live music and family competitions.

July 4TH Schedule

  • 11:00 am – Cornhole Tournament Presented by YETI
  • 3:30 pm – The Bramblers
  • 5:30 pm – The Mother Hips
  • 7:00 pm – Acoustic Glow featuring Randall McKinnon
