On December 5, 2026, the Lighting of Breckenridge and Race of the Santas is scheduled to bring holiday spirit to Main Street. This free community celebration includes a Santa-suit race, a holiday dog parade with a record breaking 700 registered dogs plus a Christmas market and the lighting of downtown.

Celebrate Ullr Fest

One of the town’s signature winter traditions, Ullr Fest, is scheduled for December 17–19, 2026. The festival honors Ullr, the Norse God associated with snow and embraces Breckenridge’s love of winter.

Highlights listed for the celebration include the crowning of the Ullr King and Queen, a lively parade and a community bonfire made with recycled Christmas trees.
