New Years Eve 2015 in Summit

New Years Eve 2016 in Summit County is an exciting event, as visitors from all of the world gather to celebrate the close of 2015 and new beginnings in 2016! Each mountain town has a fun filled day packed with activities for the entire family on and off the slopes. Pick one of the towns below to watch the annual Torchlight Parade as it moves down the mountain and into town, followed by firework displays over the mountain peaks!

Breckenridge

Children between the ages of 5 and 13 are encouraged to sign up and participate in the Glow Worm parade. The kids ride down green runs with glow sticks prior to the Torchlight Parade and spectators can see the green terrain from all over Breckenridge. The Torchlight Parade is an annual tradition with the Breckenridge Ski and Snowboard School as they carry torches from the top of Peak 9 down to the Village at 6 PM!

Fireworks will commence over Peak 9 at around 9 PM. Some of the best places to view the firework celebration are located right in downtown Breckenridge. The Breckenridge Free ride will extend their evening hours to accommodate New Years Eve partiers. Make sure to catch the bus by 2:15 AM if looking for a late night, designated driver! Keystone

The day at Keystone is filled with events and the Torchlight Parade will begin on Dercum Mountain at 6:30 PM and is visible from areas around River Run Village. The annual fireworks will begin at 9:00 PM and the Lakeside Lodge provides spectacular viewing areas with a birds eye view. The lodge party provides a champaign toast, hors devours and reservations can be made for $50 per individual.

This year, Gipsy Moon will open for Trout Steak Revival at Warren Station. The concert will begin at 9:00 PM and runs through the New Years celebration! Copper Mountain

For the first time ever, Copper is offering the Solitude Moonlight Dine and Ski! Ride the chairlift up to eat dinner at Solitude Station for a fantastic fine dining opportunity. After dinner, ski down the mountain for a celebratory cocktail and watch the fireworks from Center Village.

Copper’s Torchlight parade will kick off at 6:00 PM and runs down Main Vein. Mountainside fireworks will take place at 10:00 PM along with an assortment of outdoor festivities, live music and celebrations near the fire pit!
