Published: December 23, 2015

Five Peaks Open in Breckenridge! All five peaks at Breckenridge Ski Resort are now open with 1,589 acres of skiable terrain available to mountain guests! Peak 10 opened up for eager tree lovers in the morning hours on Saturday, December 19th and the Breckenridge’s newest addition, Peak 6 opened as of Friday, December 18th!

The runs on Peak 6 are the newest terrain at Breckenridge Ski Resort and this peak contains one of the few existing intermediate bowls that can be found in the world. This signature run is known as Bliss and holds great powder after heavy snowfalls. The high alpine terrain available from this peak provides remarkable views with feelings of being on top of the world!

There are currently 112 out of 187 trails open at Breckenridge with all 34 lifts running on the five peaks. The mountain received a full foot of snow overnight, while 19 inches have been reported within the past 72 hours. Snow is expected to fall throughout the next couple of days, creating fantastic conditions for the holiday weekend!

The Breckenridge snowcam is available for viewing online and shows the past 24 hours of snow falling while it builds up around the measurement stake. To view the snow stake, please visit http://www.breckenridge.com/mountain/snow-stake-cam.aspx!

Some trails are still closed at Breckenridge and it is important to stay in bounds during this time of the year. Avalanches can be triggered in out of bounds areas, making it very dangerous for skiers and snowboarders that do not follow the rules. Stay safe this holiday season and remain on the open, marked trails!
