Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack

Vail Resorts will expand the free skiing program for children in kindergarten through fifth grade for the 2015/2016 season!  Previously known as the School of Shred, the program was aimed solely at 5th and 6th graders to provide a limited number of free ski days any of the Vail owned Colorado resorts.

The new Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack will include 4 free days of skiing at Breckenridge, Keystone, Vail and Beaver Creek for kindergarten through fifth grade students.  In addition to individual ski days, one free full-day beginner lesson and one day of rentals are also included as an endeavor to establish a lifelong passion for downhill sports within Colorado’s youth.

“Fostering a love for skiing and snowboarding in kids is a top priority for Vail Resorts,” Kirsten Lynch, chief marketing officer of Vail Resorts explained.  “As a Colorado-based company, it is incredibly important that we continue to find ways to connect kids and families in our local communities and around the state with the mountains and the many benefits of snow sports.  The Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack gives kids the opportunity to experience the thrill of skiing and riding at the best resorts in Colorado.  We’re excited to extend such an unprecedented opportunity to families and to share the mountains in which we work, live and play with so many children who have not before had the opportunity to experience them in the winter.”

Registration for the Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack began last month on March 23rd and will continue to be open for enrollment through Memorial Day.  Bring the eligible children in your family and register at any Colorado Ski & Golf and Boulder Ski Deals location.  Proof of qualification will be required, so bring a report card, birth certificate or school issued ID and don’t forget a photo to use for the new pass!  Make sure to plan accordingly for the upcoming season as the Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack has several blackout days throughout the season.

The health of Colorado’s residents and their personal fulfillment from a day on the slopes is important to Vail Resorts.  Children that never had the chance to enjoy downhill sports will be given an exceptional opportunity to learn and practice through participation in this program.  For more information on the Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack, please visit http://www.snow.com/epic-pass/info/epickids.aspx for more information.
