The second annual Fire Arts Festival will take place in Breckenridge to run in conjunction with the 26th International Snow Sculpture Competition. The festival will run from Thursday, January 28th to Sunday, January 31st between the later hours of 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
The weekend of festivities will feature fire sculptures, jaw dropping performances, fire workshops, live musical entertainment and ignited demonstrations. Join the festivities as an audience member or dive into the techniques at one of the many available workshops!
Warm up on the lawns at the Breckenridge Creative Arts District as fire sculptures are ignited on the hour, every hour! Fire sculptors that will be featured during this 4-day event include Keith D’Angelo, Ryon Gesink, Alex Nolan, James Reinhardt, Alvin Sessions and Jamie Vaida.
Fractal Tribe will perform each night this year at the Fire Arts Festival. The Boulder-based circus production features artists, engineers and performers. The group keeps audience members entertained with a combination of theatrics, dance, music, fire, acrobatics and aerial arts! Performances are held on the half hour beginning at 6:30 PM each night with the last show ending at 8:30 PM.
Looking for some hands on activities at the Fire Arts Festival? From candle making to juggling and hula hooping, the weekend has activities for the entire family. Brush up on basic skills at the workshops to get the ball rolling for more serious future training. Workshops are available each day and run from 5:15 PM – 6:00 PM.
Indoor studios will also be ignited with heat for an assortment of different flame related demonstrations. Learn while you the watch the local artists as they demonstrate the techniques necessary for candle making, lampworking, hot wax painting and even essential oils and tea making traits! Demonstrations are free and take place from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
One of the Breckenridge Arts Festival’s very own, DJ Stretch will spin up mixes and live music each night. Music will begin at 5:00 PM and runs until 9:00 PM!
