Real Estate Market Update: Frisco 2014

The year 2014 was exciting all around Summit County in regards to the economy and real estate transactions. Frisco saw an overall increase for residential sales in 2014 compared to 2013. The total number of residential sales in Frisco for 2013 was 161 properties. In comparison to 2014 with 180 residential sales. That’s an increase of 12%.

Summer months draw in buyers giving August and September in 2014 the largest amount of closings – tying at 26 transactions closed for each month. January 2014 closed out with only two sales, giving the impression of a slow start but ended up being the lowest month for residential sales in 2014.

The average sale price for residential properties in 2014 was $671,587 in comparison to 2013 at $472,654. Increasing the residential sales prices by roughly 42%.  Average days on the market went up in 2014 for Frisco residential properties. In 2014 properties stayed on the market an average of 186 days in comparison to 170 days in 2013. Increasing by 16 days on the market for residential properties in Frisco in 2014.
