If you don’t live in Summit County, Colorado, you might not have heard about the Dillon Amphitheater. While we locals are fortunate to be so close to the famous Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater (about an hour drive), the Dillon Amphitheater offers an optimal outdoor concert experience with an incredible view over Lake Dillon.

Renovated in 2018, the Dillon Amphitheater is still somewhat of a well-kept secret to those outside of Summit County, but it’s quickly becoming a highly popular Colorado music venue. Since its major remodel, the venue features spectacular mountain views, cool lake breezes, and live music, from tribute bands to Grammy winners and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees.

Every summer, the Dillon Amphitheater successfully attracts more prominent bands and artists with a more robust concert lineup. This coming concert season is highly anticipated with an already confirmed list of summer 2022 headliners.

On Wednesday, April 20, the Town of Dillon announced that almost all of the musical acts for the Dillon Amphitheater’s summer concert season had been confirmed. In keeping with previous concert seasons, there will be both free and paid concerts, and shows will run from June 11 to September 15.

According to the Dillon Amphitheater’s website, some notable headliners will include Umphrey’s McGee; Bob Dylan; Dirty Heads with Soja, Tribal Seeds & Artikal Sound System; The String Cheese Incident; Trampled By Turtles with Morsel; Caamp: The National; Goose; My Morning Jacket; Shakey Graves; Summit Musicians Relief Fund fundraiser; Flogging Molly & The Interrupters with Tiger Army & The Skints; and Greensky Bluegrass.

Additionally, the Movies on the Water series will return on June 17, July 3, July 16, August 19, and September 2. This series features movies fun for the whole family in a serene outdoor setting overlooking Lake Dillon.

According to the Dillon Amphitheater’s website, the venue “will continue to grow into a nationally recognized, culturally enriching destination that embraces the expansion of diverse artistic boundaries via exploration, creativity, and an intentional desire to collaborate with those who share this vision.”

The venue has yet to announce a number of summer 2022 concerts, so stay tuned! You can check out the complete list of shows thus far (including free concerts) here.
